While this album might not be anything particularly mind-blowing, it's still a good example of how DSBM should be done. I have a soft spot for this album as its seductive gloominess helped me through a certain rough patch in my life, and I believe it to be somewhat of a hidden gem. Rest in peace, Reverend John Hex. All the things I love about modern electronically based music from the dark end of the spectrum, with touches that bring me back through decades of the music that brought us to this point. Uniquely haunting vocals contrast abrasive sounds in just the right proportions in an arresting tempo. Can't wait to hear more. Ol' Bugs
